Elephant Seals
Weddell Seals
Weddell seals can aparently close their nostrils individually.
They also aparently have no sense of smell!
(This is NOT mud).
Crab-eater Seals
Leopard Seal
The only leopard seals we saw were basking on small icebergs. This one has the remains of its meal - probably a penguin.
Ring-ins
These are not seals, and they are no-where near Antarctica.
They are northern sea-lions that have commandeered a marina in
San Francisco.
